Monday 06/04/26 - Easter 2026

I’ve really dropped out of the habit of writing these weekly updates on Sundays quite fast, so I’d like to try to get back into that. I guess I was just pretty busy yesterday, seeing as it was Easter Sunday and everything. My family isn’t religious, but we still all go around to my grandmother’s house for roast dinner and chocolate eggs, so that’s what I was doing instead of updating my website: eating 🥳
My weekly Recap for 30/03/26 – 05/04/26:I’ve been home from uni for a whole week now! And it’s April too, meaning I’ve been writing this blog for about a month already! Time scares me. I’ve nearly completed a full year at university too, which is crazy because I feel like I just started. I’m grateful to have been on a foundation year because it means I’ve still got 3 more years to go 😄
This week was actually very busy for me, which is good because I haven’t been bored, but bad because I haven’t been doing any of my uni assignments or revision. On Monday I got to meet up with a friend I haven’t seen in a while, which was very nice, and we ate meal deals in the park (I LOVE MEAL DEALS). It was extremely windy though and my sandwich kept blowing away. Then I was at work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for most of the day. I am happy I have a job and I do enjoy it, but I am so TIRED and not prepared for going back again tomorrow 😣
After work on Thursday, I met up with my friends and we went to a sort of pub quiz. We did atrociously, but it was fun to see them all. I’m quite terrible at thinking quickly on the spot (I mean, I literally have extra time in my exams, what do you expect?) and even more terrible at the music rounds where you have to name the song and even even more terrible at the celebrity rounds because I don’t have a clue who any of these wide-smiling, plasticine-looking men are. Luckily my friends are smart though, so we only came 15th out of 20, rather than dead last 🤓
I then got to see my friends again on Friday when two of us went to visit another at her new house we hadn’t seen before, and again again on Saturday when we went day-drinking in a park and got kicked out of Wetherspoons for bringing in outside alcohol (WHICH WAS NOT MY FAULT). I love my friends very very very much 🩷 There is a rumour going around my family that I drink a lot, but I think for a university student, I probably drink a normal amount. I never ever had drunk before I started university though so sometimes I do find it a bit difficult to gage whether what I am consuming is a normal amount or not. Either way, I am thankful for the existence of alcohol, but more thankful for the existence of my friends 🩷 🩷 🩷
As previously mentioned, Sunday was in fact easter Sunday, and now I have many easter eggs to consume 😋 I also have many many uni assignments to complete because, I’m not sure whether you noticed this, my week did not include any uni work ☹️ The only issue with this is that I have another busy week ahead of me! Today I am going to the cinema with my brother and two cousins, I’m working on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday again (it’s okay, just think of the money 😣), we’re doing the pub quiz again to hopefully redeem ourselves 💪, and my friends are hopefully coming round on Friday to watch the new Malcolm In The Middle revival, which I am soooo excited for! I will probably write a whole blog post in my media log just on my thoughts on the new show. I am so lucky to have friends that will show interest in my interests for me 🩷I guess that does leave the next weekend for completing my zoology work... And I have a few days the week afterwards too. Things should hopefully maybe probably most likely be okay. At least I’ve been having fun, and at least I am employed.
Goals for this week:☑️ Survive the three more days of work I have this week.
☑️ Write my Sunday blog post actually on the Sunday this time.
