Monday 23/03/26 - How has it been a week already?!
Time: 20:37pm
Hi!
I’m writing this on a Monday rather than a Sunday this week, because yesterday was a super busy day for me and I didn’t have the time. This week has flown by so so fast – like I genuinely think I’ve forgotten half of it – but I think it was a pretty good week. I guess we’ll find out together in a moment when I reflect on my journal entries and type up my recap 🩷
My weekly Recap for 16/03/26 – 22/03/26:Last week was only my second week back to uni after the mid-semester break, but it feels like I’ve been back for ages already. Not in a bad way, I love university, I just feel like my sense of time has been super messed up recently. Time is passing me by so fast, but also I feel like I have been 19 years old and at university forever. I love being 19; it’s my favourite age so far 🙂 Well, being 7 was pretty good too.
Even though I’m in a good mood and I’ve had a good last few days, Monday the 16th was not my best. It’s the first time I’ve ever walked out of a lecture halfway through. I just wasn’t feeling the greatest mentally and it was making me feel sick to the point I just could not pay any attention. The great thing about uni though is that if I feel bad like I do sometimes, I’m not trapped like I was in college. I can just leave and go swing on the swings and watch the red kites fly in circles in the sky and go to the pet shop and see the parrots. That’s one reason why I love university 😃
The rest of the days I got to see my friends lots, which might be partially why I felt a bit better. I love my friends! 🙂 We went on lots of walks and I climbed lots of trees, which are two of my favourite activities. I’m very grateful for the fact my university’s campus isn’t only concrete, and there’s a lake and a woodland and I have places to walk about in and nature to look at. I listened to lots of music that makes me feel happy too, like They Might Be Giants and Weezer, and it was very nice weather, so I got to wear my jorts, which I love so much. Basically, looking back, there were lots of good things in my week! 🙂A friend of mine that doesn’t usually come out drinking with us in the evenings came with us this Saturday and it was so much fun! My main group of friends that I usually go out with are all guys, and they are great, but it’s nice when girls come out with us too. I’m actually quite proud of my friend-making skills at uni. In college, I didn’t try and talk to anyone apart from my friends from secondary school (who I love more than anything else in the world!!!), but now I have more friends than I ever have. I don’t really know if I will continue to know my friends at uni after we all leave, but that’s okay because they’re here for now, and my friends from back home will be here forever. I do wish I could keep all my friends forever though. I love how deeply I feel love for others 🩷 but sometimes it can be a little sad to feel like you care more than anyone else does.
Sunday the 22nd of March 2026 was a great day! ☀️ I love the 22nd of each month because 22 is my favourite number, and I especially love when the 22nd falls on a Sunday. My grandma messaged me a photo on this day of a 22-spot ladybird 🐞 that she found on her patio with the caption ‘your mum said you like them. I hope you're ok. xx’ and it made me so happy I cried. That was probably my favourite thing that happened all week.
This week is my final week before easter, so hopefully I can make the most of it! I definitely need to write up some sort of plan though because I’m still taking everything one day at a time, and I probably need to think just a little broader.
Goals for next week:🟪 Make a plan for the week and for the Easter break.
🟪 Try my best to enjoy my last week before Easter!
🟪 Make sure I leave my room tidy.
Goodbye for now!
